Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born Of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen Repeat 15 times a day from November 30-December 25
Lord Jesus, Savior of the world, hope that will never disappoint us, have mercy on us and deliver us from ALL evil! Please overcome the scourge of this virus which is spreading, heal the sick, preserve the healthy, support those who work for the health of all. Show us your face of mercy and save us in your great love. We ask you through the intercession of Mary, Your Mother and ours, who faithfully accompanies us. You who live and reign forever and ever. Here's a brief summary of the marvelous story of Our Lady of Good Success: The place is Quito, Ecuador and the year is 1611. Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, a nun to whom Our Lady appeared. Then, a great light had filled the church and she had beheld the Most Holy Trinity with Mary Most Holy, resplendent and queenly. Lo and behold, the Blessed Virgin approached and entered the statue of her, as rays of the sun penetrated a transparent crystal. At that moment the statue took on life and sang the Magnificat! Then she said these words: "I am the Mother of Mercy and in me there is only goodness and love. Let them come to me, for I will lead them to Him." Isn’t that the definition of success for you and me—to be led by Mother Mary to Her Son, Jesus? To reach the fulfillment of her promise to lead us to her son, let us pray this Novena: "Hail Mary Most Holy, Beloved Daughter of God the Father , through the intercession of Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, grant thy good success to this request (name request)... Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be... Saint Michael, pray for us. Hail Mary Most Holy, Admirable Mother of God the Son , through the intercession of Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, grant thy good success to this request (name request) ... Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be... Saint Gabriel, pray for us. Hail Mary Most Holy, Most Faithful Spouse of the Holy Ghost, through the intercession of Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, grant thy good success to this request (name request) ... Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be... Saint Raphael, pray for us." Remember to do this for the next nine days!
This tradition dates back over 100 years and it begins today, November 30th. It is believed whoever recites this novena prayer FIFTEEN times each day from the feast of St. Andrew (Nov. 30) until Christmas Eve will obtain the favor requested. Hail and Blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born Of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O My God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires through the merits of Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.
O Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, at this most critical time, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care. Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son. Overwhelmed with the burden of the sins of our nation, we cry to you from the depths of our hearts and seek refuge in your motherly protection. Look down with mercy upon us and touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Free us from the falsehoods that lead to the evil of abortion and threaten the sanctity of family life. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that God’s law is the foundation on which this nation was founded, and that He alone is the True Source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. O Merciful Mother, give us the courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new Culture of Life. Amen
Teach me, Lord to be sweet and gentle in the events of life, in disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of others, in the insincerity of those I trusted, in the unfaithfulness of those on whom I relied. Let me put myself aside, to think of the happiness of others, to hide my little pains and heartaches, so that I may be the only one to suffer from them. Teach me to profit by the suffering that comes across my path; let me use it that it may mellow me, not harden and embitter me, that it may make me patient, not irritable, that it may make me broad in my forgiveness, not narrow, haughty or overbearing. May no one be less good for having come within my influence; no one less pure, less true, less kind, less noble for having been a fellow traveler on our journey toward eternal life. As I go my rounds from one distraction to another, let me whisper, from time to time, a word of love to you. May life be lived in the supernatural, full of power for good and strong in its purpose of sanctity. Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere. Flood my soul with your spirit and life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so completely that my life may be only a radiance of yours. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see me no longer, but only Jesus.
If I had known what trouble you were bearing; What griefs were in the silence of your face; I would have been more gentle, and more caring, and tried to give you gladness for a space. I would have brought more warmth into the place, If I had known. If I had known what thoughts despairing drew you; (Why do we never try to understand?) I would have lent a little friendship to you, and slipped my hand within your hand, and made your stay more pleasant in the land, If I had known.
Lord, in whatever we do, let us never be cruel. May we refuse to hate or judge harshly. Rather let us be known for our kindness that we may find Your Kingdom has come and Your Will has been done in our lives as it is in heaven. “ Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy”
O glorious Prince of the heavenly hosts, St. Michael the Archangel, wage in our days with the hosts of the holy angels the battles of the Lord, as you once fought victoriously against Lucifer and the rebellious angels! O unconquered Prince, hasten to help the people of God in defense against the onslaught of the reprobate spirits and gain us the victory! Take our prayers before the Countenance of the Most High, so that the mercies of the Lord may quickly come to our aid. Seize the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and thrust him, fettered , back into the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen.
O Jesus, Eternal Priest, keep your priests within the shelter of your Sacred Heart, where none may touch them. Keep unstained their anointed hands, which daily touch your Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips, daily purpled with your Precious Blood. Keep pure and unearthly their hearts, sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood. Let your holy love surround them and shield them from the world’s contagion. Bless their labors with abundant fruit and may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolation here and in heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen
Lord, in your servant Matt Talbot you have given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction, of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence for the Most Holy Sacrament. May his life of prayer and penance give us courage to take up our crosses and follow in the footsteps of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Father, if it be your will that your beloved servant should be glorified by your Church, make known by your heavenly favors the power he enjoys in your sight. we ask this through the same Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
O my God and my All, in thy goodness and mercy, grant that before I die I may regain all the graces which I have lost through my carelessness and folly. permit me to attain that degree of merit and perfection to which Thou didst desire to lead me, and which I failed by my unfaithfulness to reach. Mercifully grant also that others regain the graces which they have lost through my fault. This I humbly beg through the merits of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Immaculate Virgin Mary. Amen.
My most sweet Jesus I accept the death Thou has destined for me; with all the pains that may accompany it; I unite it to thy death, I offer it to Thee, thou hast died for love of me, I will die for love of Thee and to place Thee. ( It is recommended that you say this prayer daily as we do not know the day of our death, and what a blessing it would be to have said it on our last day.)
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits: First - To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life. Gloria Patri, Second - To purify the good I have done badly this day and during all my life. Gloria Patri, Third - To supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day and during all my life. Gloria Patri.
Our Lady, our Queen, our Mother, in the name of Jesus, and for the love of Jesus, we implore Thee to take our cause in thy hands, and to grant it good success.
