St. Andrew Christmas Novena

This tradition dates back over 100 years and it begins today, November 30th.

It is believed whoever recites this novena prayer FIFTEEN times each day from the feast of St. Andrew (Nov. 30) until Christmas Eve will obtain the favor requested.

Hail and Blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born Of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O My God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires through the merits of Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.

Our Lady of Good Success

Here's a brief summary of the marvelous story of Our Lady of Good Success: The place is Quito, Ecuador and the year is 1611. Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, a nun to whom Our Lady appeared. Then, a great light had filled the church and she had beheld the Most Holy Trinity with Mary Most Holy, resplendent and queenly. Lo and behold, the Blessed Virgin approached and entered the statue of her, as rays of the sun penetrated a transparent crystal. At that moment the statue took on life and sang the Magnificat! Then she said these words: "I am the Mother of Mercy and in me there is only goodness and love. Let them come to me, for I will lead them to Him." Isn’t that the definition of success for you and me—to be led by Mother Mary to Her Son, Jesus? To reach the fulfillment of her promise to lead us to her son, let us pray this Novena: "Hail Mary Most Holy, Beloved Daughter of God the Father , through the intercession of Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, grant thy good success to this request (name request)...
