John 14:1-3 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
John 12:27 “Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.
You Can Live With Hope When You Transition from a Heart of Trouble to a Heart of Trust.
1. The Person of Jesus
John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
2. The Promise of Jesus
Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.”
John 16:6-7 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.
3. The Path with Jesus
Vs 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 18:37-38 Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose, I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” 38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in him.
Isaiah 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
Psalm 77:11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 42:5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
John 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
John 15:12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
