This Thursday, when you sit down to whatever kind of meal you choose to eat and with whoever you choose to eat with, I invite you to do something special. Before you eat, take a moment to go around the table and give everyone a chance to share what they are grateful for. Then as a family, say a prayer of gratitude for those blessings.
11-17-24 Leadership
November 17, 2024 • Hebrews 13
You are never too young to start learning and never too old to stop learning. Hebrews 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

11-10-24 Two Houses
November 10, 2024 • Pastor Chris Weath
Storms of life are coming. No one likes them. We all wish they didn't happen, but life just has difficult moments. How you prepare for the storm directly impacts how you make it through the storm.
11-03-24 Ask, Seek, Knock
November 3, 2024
Prayer is a difficult topic for many Christians. Even though we recognize its importance, we often wonder whether we’re doing it right or doing it enough.
10-27-24 Judging Others
October 27, 2024 • Pastor George Gasperson
People judge each other all the all the time. We judge people by their race, their gender, their age, their appearance, their political leanings- pretty much any characteristic or attribute a person has becomes grounds for judgment. Jesus makes four statements about our tendency to judge other people
10-20-24 Peace in an anxious world
October 20, 2024
Everybody seems to have anxiety this day. You might be the oddball if you don't have anxiety, but nobody seems to know how to handle it. Yet Jesus gives us a roadmap for both understanding anxiety and dealing with it. Today's message helps us find peace in an anxious world.
10-13-24 Prayer
October 13, 2024 • Pastor Chris Weathel
Today as we continue on in our series through the sermon on the mount, Jesus is going to address a topic where I think the vast majority of us feel completely insufficient. We feel out of our element. Other people try to teach us how to do what Jesus is going to teach, but still we feel dumb. It seems like other people do it so naturally. They say “oh it’s easy you just.” Yet here we are stuck looking like the dummies because we can’t seem to do a good job. As we study this prayer it will help remove some of the burden and stress that so many Jesus followers feel when it comes to prayer.
10-06-24 Generosity
October 6, 2024 • Pastor Chris Weathel
All followers of Jesus are called to be generous, but Jesus teaches in the Sermon on the mount that there's a right way and a wrong way to give. Giving is merely there first step in being a follower of Jesus. In order to follow him even better, we must focus on the heart behind the gift.
09-26-24 The Danger of Lust
September 29, 2024
Imagine that Jesus was sitting here with us, and he walked up on stage and invited us to move closer to him so that we could hear what he was about to say. Using today’s language and speaking from the perspective of contemporary culture, how do you think Jesus would preach this section of the Sermon on the Mount to us so that we would be challenged in the same way that he challenged his listeners that day on the hillside? I believe there are three principles about lust that he would want us to hear.
09-22-24 Murder and Anger
September 22, 2024 • Pastor Georg • Matthew 5:21–26
Title: Murder and Anger
Text: Matt. 5:21-26
Found in Matthew 5-7, the Sermon on the Mount is in reality a list of what Jesus expects from those who belong to His Kingdom. These principles are, in effect, membership expectations. Jesus begins his teaching by relating the act of murder with the emotion of anger.
According to Jesus…
· Anger is serious business
· Repairing broken relationships must be a top priority for Christians
Anger is serious business, and it must be controlled. What is the antidote to hateful anger directed toward someone else? Jesus identified it as reconciliation- with God, with other believers, and with the world at large.
