Joel Chapter 1 Joel is the author of the Book Joel's name means Jehovah is God Joel was written around 835-800BC Not much is known about Joel - He was a prophet to Judah - the Southern Kingdom Joel's dad was Pethuel Judah was in a time of prosperity and Safety, but were moving away from the Lord. Joel is giving a warning vs1-5 - Judah to stay close to Jesus or His judgment will come. VS1-5 - A call or warning from the Lord to turn the Jewish people back to the Lord

He Is Risen The Resurrection of Jesus Christ Mark 9:31 and Mark 10:32-34 1. It is a historical fact Historians were present during the life an death of Jesus & wrote about it 2. It is a scientific fact A scientific fact is proven when something can be seen over and over again. Jesus appeared to different groups after He rose. 3. It's a written Fact There are over 5,000 copies in the original Greek language about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ 4. It's an Archaelogical Fact The finds in Israel of the tomb, Peter's house, fishing boats at the time of Jesus prove He is risen 5. It's a spiritual fact Millions and millions of people have been changed and saved over the centuries

The Lamb Of God The power of the Lamb - John 1:29-34 V29 - Behold- means to get someone's attention Lamb of God - a pet Lamb One who is tender, kind and gentle Follow Him - v37 - means to follow the same path/walk down the road with John wanted everyone to know that there is a solution for every problem with humanity The problem in the world is the sin nature of man Everyone was born with a sin nature Sins are symptoms of the sin nature The solution for the sin nature is Jesus Christ The preaching of the lamb - Exodus 12:6-7, 12-13, 22-23 The emphasis of preaching is Jesus Christ The praise and worship to the Lamb - Revelation 5:8-14 This portion of scripture takes place in heaven

Haggai 2The glory of God Means the weight of God's presence It is something you can feel, sense and see its effects It refers to the splendor, majesty, power and might of the Lord All praise belongs to the Lord because He created us GOD CREATED US FOR HIS GLORY - Isaiah 43:7 This refers to 4 things: 1.The Lord's glory and presence is in us- 1 John 2:18-27 The day we were saved, we received the Holy Spirit, His presence and glory 2.The Lord's glory and presence are on us to do something 3. the glory of God is in and on the believer to change them - Isaiah 61:1-3 4.The glory and presence of God are in and on the believer to change others Luke 19:1-10 The glory of God changes us and others at the same time
