A Study in 1 and 2 Thessalonians
Part 5 Sex and The Gospel
February 7, 2021 • Pastor Travis
Paul begins to address concerns he has for the church as it continues to grow and flourish. The first issue he tackles is the sexual ethic of the church. He pushes back against both the prude and the promiscuous. Instead he points them towards a completely different way of understanding God's gift of sex. Join us this Sunday as we continue in our series through 1 Thessalonians.
Part 4 What Might Cause Faith Collapse?
January 31, 2021 • Pastor Marty Scales
Before Timothy reported on his hurried return to the church at Thessalonica, the Apostle Paul was very concerned about the new converts there. He had been with them for only three or four weeks, many converted, but then he was compelled to leave town. He is concerned about their faith persisting. He is concerned that the impact of religious persecution and Satanic temptation might collapse their faith. Timothy's report brings Paul great joy; their faith and love has persisted and developed!
