There are Biblical songs/poems that are called Instructional or Wisdom Psalms. Psalm 1 sharply contrasts the wisdom of God and that of sinners. Why would the compilers of the Psalter place this Psalm as the first one? What is the instructional wisdom for our lives here today? Hint: It's all about what we “Delight in”. According to this Psalm, the truly "Blessed" person has become captivated by the law of the LORD.
