“…legalism is no little thing. It takes away our liberty and puts us into bondage. It makes Jesus and His work of no profit to us. It puts us under obligation to the whole law. It violates the work of the Spirit of God. It makes us focus on things that are irrelevant. It keeps us from running the race Jesus set before us. It isn’t from Jesus.”  David Guzik

I’m not a big fan of preseason football. The teams are trying out new players, the games don't mean much, and I want to see the starters. We don't like the 2nd best - we want the 1st choice - Christ is not the 2nd team; as christians, we honor him as he said, "that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him." John 5:23

The old hymn says, "What have I to dread, what have I to fear? Leaning on the Everlasting Arms." But yet we have dread and worry! Charles Schultz said, "I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time." Sounds a lot like Jesus in Matthew 6:34. So let's do that!
