Luke 24:28-53 "Final Instructions Before Leaving Earth"

Today we'll finish the gospel of Luke. Jesus will continue to reveal Himself to the men that He met on the road to Emmaus, we'll then see that He appears to those who were in Jerusalem gathered with the door shut. He'll allow them to touch Him and He'll eat food in their presence to again prove His resurrection. He'll speak of the Holy Spirit and the need that they had to wait in Jerusalem until He empowered them and then He'll ascend into heaven. Luke 24:1-27 "The Power of the Word of God"

Luke 23:26-56 "The Sentence Carried Out"

Join us today as we watch the Savior of the world carry the cross and face crucifixion. We'll see two criminals hung with Jesus one of which would be with the Lord in Paradise that very day and the other who would hurl insults. We'll see the temple veil torn in two and a roman soldier who declared that Jesus was certainly a righteous man. Luke 22:21-53 "Final Lessons"

This week Jesus will speak one last time to His disciples with some final words. He'll speak of the betrayal of one who was sitting at the table with Him. The disciples will argue about greatness once again. Peter's 3 fold denial will be prophesied. Jesus will then head to the garden to pray and will be arrested. Luke 21:37-22:20 "One Final Meal"

This week we'll see Jesus with the apostles for one final meal. This one fell on the Passover, the feast that celebrated the Lord's deliverance from the people of Israel. As they applied the blood of a lamb to their doorposts by faith in obedience to the Lord's command the angel of death would pass over them. We'll also see Judas Iscariot and the beginning of his betrayal of the Lord. Luke 20:45-21:24 "A Humble Heart and a Destroyed Temple"

How We Got Here and Where We Are Going

Luke 19:45-20:19 "The Exposing of Men's Hearts"

This week we'll see Jesus go into the temple and drive out the money changers and those who were selling sacrifices declaring that His Father's house was to be a house of prayer. The religious who are in authority will then challenge Jesus demanding that He produce His credentials for doing the things He does. Then we'll finish with an interesting parable that the Lord speaks against the people of Israel.

Luke 17:20-37 "When the Son of Man Comes"

This week the Pharisees will ask Jesus about the kingdom and the Lord will let them know that they aren't thinking properly. Everyone in the times of Jesus wanted the kingdom now but Jesus made it clear that He would first suffer before coming back to establish His kingdom. We'll talk about some of the end times events during the 7 year period and how they will be similar to the days of Noah and Lot and then we'll briefly talk about the rapture of the church.
