March 26, 2023 • Jared Clements
This week we'll see Jesus exhausted from ministry sleeping while a deadly storm rages around the disciples. The disciples will forget what the Lord said to them, they'll become fearful and they will run to their Master. Jesus in turn will calm the storm. Then they will meet an unexpected individual just as soon as they arrive to the shore. The local city didn't know what to do with this man and eventually he found himself out near the tombs, by himself, naked. The Lord will then set him free.

Today we'll see Jesus beginning to teach, He'll share from Isaiah 61:1-2 and then declare "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing" Everyone knew this was a Messianic passage of scripture so when Jesus said this they all knew what He was declaring. We'll then see Jesus provide ample evidence that the words He said were true. He'll deliver a demon possessed man, heal Peter's mother in law and then heal the multitudes.

This week we'll take a look at John the Baptist and his ministry. John was willing to give the hard message and the people responded, have we become to worried today about what others think? Have we begun to give a soft message? So often the theology of repentance and judgment have gone to the wayside in the church and yet our world needs to hear it. Ultimately the world needs to hear of the love of the Savior.
