Luke 21:37-22:20 "One Final Meal"

This week we'll see Jesus with the apostles for one final meal. This one fell on the Passover, the feast that celebrated the Lord's deliverance from the people of Israel. As they applied the blood of a lamb to their doorposts by faith in obedience to the Lord's command the angel of death would pass over them. We'll also see Judas Iscariot and the beginning of his betrayal of the Lord.

Today we'll finish the gospel of Luke. Jesus will continue to reveal Himself to the men that He met on the road to Emmaus, we'll then see that He appears to those who were in Jerusalem gathered with the door shut. He'll allow them to touch Him and He'll eat food in their presence to again prove His resurrection. He'll speak of the Holy Spirit and the need that they had to wait in Jerusalem until He empowered them and then He'll ascend into heaven. Luke 23:26-56 "The Sentence Carried Out"

Join us today as we watch the Savior of the world carry the cross and face crucifixion. We'll see two criminals hung with Jesus one of which would be with the Lord in Paradise that very day and the other who would hurl insults. We'll see the temple veil torn in two and a roman soldier who declared that Jesus was certainly a righteous man.
