This morning we celebrate the Lord's Table and finish up the book of Galatians. Galatians is all about grace, freedom, and the best news ever! Some teachers were attempting to make this good news a little more restrictive and controlled. Paul was having none of that nonsense! Galatians is a call to live life with joy and freedom in Christ!

Hark the Herald Angels Sing

On a walk to church on Christmas day, while hearing the London church bells ringing and reflecting upon the great angelic pronouncement found in Luke 2:8-14, Charles Wesley wrote his “Hymn for Christmas Day” poem. Originally published in 1739, with lyrics later edited by George Whitefield and then later set to new music by composer Felix Mendelssohn, this hymn is clearly one of our classics. Let’s consider the words that inspired Wesley… good news, great joy, for all the people.
