No Secret Disciples

August 7, 2017

The mark of a true disciple of Jesus Christ is the willingness to deny one’s personal ambitions in pursuit of the will of God.

In Matthew 16, Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Jesus’ hands and feet bear the marks of his commitment to God’s will for his life – from which we receive eternal life. Likewise, a disciple’s hands and feet should bear the evidence of being about our Father’s will.

Please listen to this week’s Stand in the Gap Minute program as we're encouraged to be salt and light, to bear the mark of being a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
