Jesus the Messiah: It's a Matter of Life and Death

March 26, 2018

As Jesus’ entered into Jerusalem for the last time during his earthly ministry, the crowds honored him by laying down their coats and branches from palm trees. Little did they know that in a short time, Jesus would be raised up on a different “tree” as the ransom for their sin.

As we take time this Easter week to remember the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus, may we also be reminded of his words to us, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Matthew 16:24-26

Please listen to this week’s timely Stand in the Gap Minute program as we're reminded of what Easter week is all about.

Mother’s Day Series: A Spiritual Position

May 7, 2024

Transcript: This Sunday’s Mother’s Day. How will you honor your mom? My mom went to heaven years ago, but I’ll honor her memory by sharing stories with my grandchildren about how my mom raised me to fear God, love truth and live by faith. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. The word mother first occurs in Gen. 2:24 where God created male and female named them Adam and Eve and ordained marriage between father and mother - for a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. God’s plan starts with 1 man and 1 woman who forsaking all others cleave to each other and form a God designed team from which God can give children to be raised up in the fear of God. Motherhood’s not just a biological but a spiritual position ordained of God. Join us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV and honor our moms as God does. Mother’s Day Series: They’re Special

May 6, 2024

Transcript: This coming Sunday we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day. Honoring our mothers is important to them, us and to God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Our moms hold a most special place in our hearts. Regardless of their education, talents or accomplishments, they’re special because they carried us in their wombs then gave us life. They fed us, bathed us, nurtured us when we were helpless and needy. We are from them and literally part of them. If nothing else, shouldn’t we love our moms, care for them they grow old as they cared for us and this Mother’s Day honor them in a special way? The balance of this week, I’ll share several biblical reasons why honoring our moms is so important not just on Mother’s Day but every day. Join us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV in honoring our mothers. Signs of the Time Series: Encouraging Signs

May 3, 2024

Transcript: For the unbeliever, the events of the last days are frightful, painful and full of death and judgment. But for the Believer, evidence of the last Days guarantees Christ’s soon return and His soon reign of Christ on earth for a thousand years. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, we’ve looked at the some of the ways God has called us to respond to the signs of the last days. Scripture calls us to be prepared, to live with joy, to have an eternal perspective, and to share our faith with others. First Thessalonians 4:18 ends a section of Scripture discussing Christ’s any-moment coming. How does it conclude? Paul writes, “Therefore encourage one another with these words.” The signs of the times are designed as a warning for unbelievers and those living in sin, but they are an encouragement for those of us following the Lord.
