Today, we conclude this week’s focus on Truth. In Joshua 24:15, Joshua challenged the people by saying, ‘if you’ve got a problem serving Jehovah God, then be honest enough to state who you will serve.” Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Serving God requires purposeful choices with a life that proves it! While most Americans say they’re Christians, their lives don’t prove it -and our culture unfortunately reflects it – salt-less salt, little light, no morally prevailing influence. It’s our lives -not our words that matter. The time has come to reject idle speech, and hearts that worship other gods. Holy living, a compelling Christian testimony, and embracing Truth with no other gods before us is a choice. May we like Joshua declare, “but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!” Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and choose to serve the Lord of Truth?

When we serve with endurance, we can anticipate the fulfillment of God’s promise. We have eternal life, community with other believers, and even heavenly rewards. Transcript: Why has God left us in this world as believers? It’s because He has a plan for us, one that can impact all eternity. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. If our only purpose in life was to believe in Jesus, there would be no reason for us to remain after our salvation. So why has Christ yet to return? 1 Peter 3:15 teaches we are to, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have.” Our primary mission in this life is the Great Commission, making disciples of all nations. We are to witness while we wait for Christ’s coming. We cannot give up or back down. Instead, we must be bold in proclaiming His salvation. Transcript: When you faced a big test at school when you were younger, your success depended on preparing for it. As the saying goes, failing to prepare is preparing to fail. How does this apply to our spiritual lives? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Scripture calls us in Matthew 24:42 to “keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” Keeping watch, however, is an active command. We don’t sit around and do nothing. Instead, we are to be about our Father’s business. In a time when many are giving up in despair, believers are challenged to live for the Lord and to share His message of hope with all who will listen. Don’t fail to plan.
