Transcript: Israel was recently ranked as the eighth most-powerful nation in the world. How did this nation, that didn’t exist just over seventy years ago, become a leading power? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. Those who know history recognize the Jewish people were granted a fragile existence in their historic homeland following the atrocities of the Holocaust in World War II. Yet this tiny nation’s blossomed into a world power, withstanding enemies and antisemitism to serve as an innovator in technology, defense, and business. Israel’s uniqueness is not in its own power, but in the power of God. He’s has fulfilled His promises to bless Israel, calling believers to support the Jewish people. As friends of Israel, we both obey God’s commands and experience His blessings. As we look forward to Christ’s return, we can look at Israel today as a key step in His plan to fulfill prophecy.
