Israel Series: Blessing Israel

Transcript: Does God still bless those who bless Israel? How does this promise apply to our lives today? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Genesis twelve three, God told Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse.” Interestingly, this promise includes no expiration date. Many have chronicled the parallels between the blessings upon the United States as it’s supported the modern state of Israel. Could these blessings be the result of God’s divine promise? The answer is yes. While we may be uncertain regarding all the details, God has greatly blessed our nation and in part it has been because as we have supported His Jewish people. From the time of modern Israel’s founding in 1948 until today, America’s served as a leading world power. As believers, we must remember to pray for our leaders that they would maintain policies that bless Israel and live out our faith in a skeptical society. As friends of Israel, we both obey God’s commands and experience His blessings. As we look forward to Christ’s return, we can look at Israel today as a key step in His plan to fulfill prophecy. Israel Series: The Miracle of Modern Israel

Transcript: Did you know the modern nation of Israel serves as a miracle of God? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. For nineteen hundred years, the Jewish people lived without a nation. Yet on May 14, 1948, Israel was declared an independent country in its own land. Despite immediate attacks from surrounding armies, Israel outlasted its opponents, now marking over seventy years in its divine homeland. This miracle has many implications for our lives today. First, many of the Bible’s prophecies refer to Israel living in its land, indicating their fulfillment is near. Second, God continues to faithfully keep His promises. The Jewish people have returned to their land, once again speak the Jewish language, and having returned by the millions from around the world, exactly as Scripture’s has decreed. Israel Series: Rebuking Replacement Theology

Transcript: As I talk with week about Israel, What’s the bible say about Israel and the church? How does this understanding impact our apply to our view of Israel today? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. A theological view called Replacement Theology wrongly promotes the belief that the church has replaced Israel during our current age. As a result, a growing number of Christians fail to understand the necessity importance of supporting Israel and the Jewish people. This erroneous view arises from a misunderstanding between the teachings related to God’s chosen Jewish people and followers of Christ. The apostle Paul clearly taught that Christians are “grafted in” and become part of God’s family. However, this does not replace the Bible’s covenant promises to Israel. God continues to fulfill His plan of Redemption including the restoration of the Jewish nation. We’re called to stand with Israel, not against it, sharing the gospel with both Jews and others until Jesus the Messiah returns.
