Transcript: In Ephesians 6:16, the Apostle Paul says that above all, to stand against the Devil’s schemes, we must pick up and use the shield of Faith. This Faith shield is perhaps the most important piece of defensive armor against the fiery darts of the Wicked One because it’s versatile, mobile, and capable of protecting the entire body. Protection from the fiery darts – those temptations from the Devil, the enticements to the sins of blasphemous thoughts, unbelief, the sudden urging to do wrong or entertain sinful thoughts is what only true Faith can protect against. Transcript: I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and today’s Stand in the Gap Minute of warning. Jesus warned his disciples in Matt. 24 to be on guard because mass deception would mark the end days before His return. He warned of ‘wars and rumors of wars, ‘nations rising against nations’, that lawlessness and immorality would dominate the culture with little fear of God. Those days would be perilous --just like today. So how should we respond? Look around, look up and then speak out. This isn’t the time for silence but boldness for the Truth. While past leaders thought their days were troubling times, there’s little dispute that Christ’s warnings describe our days in detail. As nations threaten, rumors of war abound and the eyes of the world drawn to Israel, be emboldened to live the Truth like never before. We’re here for such a time. Transcript: The Bible’s full of warnings. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and today’s Stand in the Gap Minute of warning. In Matt. 24, Jesus warned His disciples to be on guard for mass deception. “Take heed that no man deceive you”. From official government statements, to media reports, to politicians who say whatever people want to hear, to pastors who only preach the ‘less offensive’ sections of Scripture-truth’s being compromised, suppressed and distorted. Mass deception’s the result. It’s past time that pastors and all Christians wake up and heed Christ’s warning. Just because the media reports or the President himself speaks, doesn’t mean it’s true. Deception and lies prevail when a nation denies God’s power, the culture repudiates Biblical authority, and people become offended by the name of Jesus. Of this be certain. If we’re to stand against the devils schemes we must gird with Truth, then add a breastplate of Righteousness, Gospel shoes and the Shield of Faith. The Apostle Paul concludes by saying, take the Helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. The salvation helmet adorns and protects. It’s the hope and joy of salvation giving confidence in battle and making life bearable in trials. The Sword of the Spirit’s the Word of God and our offensive weapon - used by the Believer but empowered by the Spirit. It’s powerful, absolute, edifying, rebuking, encouraging, never changing. – a solace in storms a light in the night.
