Persecution Series: Just Like Jesus

April 9, 2024

Transcript: While some claim faithfulness will lead to material blessing, Scripture teaches that faithful living will lead to persecution. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In John 15, Jesus told His followers that the world would hate us because we are not of this world. He added, “If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you.” As American believers, we often view adversity differently than does Scripture. Many falsely preach Prosperity Gospel and that if you’re persecuted or not materially blessed you’re not living faithfully. But this just isn’t true. Persecution’s not the exception for the faithful believer; it’s the norm. So, don’t be surprised that when you fear God and faithfully keep His commands you’ll feel resistance from the culture. After all, why should we expect to be different when the world of Jesus day, rejected Him putting Him to death on the cross. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Mother’s Day Series: They’re Special

May 6, 2024

Transcript: This coming Sunday we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day. Honoring our mothers is important to them, us and to God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Our moms hold a most special place in our hearts. Regardless of their education, talents or accomplishments, they’re special because they carried us in their wombs then gave us life. They fed us, bathed us, nurtured us when we were helpless and needy. We are from them and literally part of them. If nothing else, shouldn’t we love our moms, care for them they grow old as they cared for us and this Mother’s Day honor them in a special way? The balance of this week, I’ll share several biblical reasons why honoring our moms is so important not just on Mother’s Day but every day. Join us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV in honoring our mothers. Signs of the Time Series: Encouraging Signs

May 3, 2024

Transcript: For the unbeliever, the events of the last days are frightful, painful and full of death and judgment. But for the Believer, evidence of the last Days guarantees Christ’s soon return and His soon reign of Christ on earth for a thousand years. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, we’ve looked at the some of the ways God has called us to respond to the signs of the last days. Scripture calls us to be prepared, to live with joy, to have an eternal perspective, and to share our faith with others. First Thessalonians 4:18 ends a section of Scripture discussing Christ’s any-moment coming. How does it conclude? Paul writes, “Therefore encourage one another with these words.” The signs of the times are designed as a warning for unbelievers and those living in sin, but they are an encouragement for those of us following the Lord. Signs of the Time Series: Witnessing More

May 2, 2024

Transcript: When is the last time you have shared how Jesus changed your life with someone else? For many of us, it has been far too long, but Scripture challenges us to talk about our new life in Christ even more as we face the last days. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. As the apostle Paul addressed the struggles he faced, he taught in Acts 20:24, “I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Paul was changed from darkness to light and was willing to share his faith with others. God may place someone in your path today who needs to hear the story of how you have been changed, and how God can change them. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
