But for the Believer, evidence of the last Days guarantees Christ’s soon return and His soon reign of Christ on earth for a thousand years. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, we’ve looked at the some of the ways God has called us to respond to the signs of the last days. Scripture calls us to be prepared, to live with joy, to have an eternal perspective, and to share our faith with others. First Thessalonians 4:18 ends a section of Scripture discussing Christ’s any-moment coming. How does it conclude? Paul writes, “Therefore encourage one another with these words.” The signs of the times are designed as a warning for unbelievers and those living in sin, but they are an encouragement for those of us following the Lord. Transcript: Many people say they love God but really can’t because since they don’t know God’s love through Jesus Christ they can’t share what they don’t have. Equally impossible are others who say they love God but don’t do what He says. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. I John 5:3 says “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.” You see, loving God can be measured by keeping Gods commands. In other words, obedience to God’s word is the measure of ones love of God. Partial obedience – no love. Disobedience? No love. We simply can’t love God if we harbor sin in our hearts, choose to obey only part of what God says, or never read what He wrote. How about you? That means you and me and every person ever born or will be born. He loved so much that He willingly sent Jesus Christ to die for the sins of humankind. If so, do you love others as God does and at least sharing this good news of God’s love with others? If not, why not? Remember, you can’t share what you don’t have. Transcript: Do you know what it means to love? Many people say they love God, but don’t do what God says or know what God loves. It’s time we understand. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. In I John 4:8, the Bible says that God is love. This kind of love is unique. It’s agape love. The type of self-sacrificing love that’s demonstrated by God Himself who loved the world so much He sent His only Son -Jesus Christ – to die for our sins as a perfect sacrifice – demonstrating that God is truly the standard setter for true love. Loving God and others with this kind of love is only possible after personally experiencing God’s love by trusting in Jesus Christ. Can you truly love God?
