Part of the gospel message is that when we are saved, we become part of a team, part of a family, and that team, that family, is called the church. And as members of the church of Jesus Christ, we are called to engage with one another in fellowship and service.

In the book of Genesis, after God made Adam, He said, "It is not good for man to be alone." Now that wasn't true just for Adam; it is also true for us today. As Christians, the Bible calls us to live in authentic community with other Christians. We are not meant to live isolated lives as lone wolves; rather, as the people of God in this world, we are to be salt and light to all those around us.

It is great news to know that God desires a good relationship with us. However, like with any relationship, we will have to put in some work if we want it to be great. We must desire a closer relationship with God and we must guard our hearts against loving the blessings of God more than God himself.

Prayer was a significant part of Jesus' life, and as followers of Jesus today, prayer should be a vital aspect of our lives as well. Prayer plays a crucial role in the development of our relationship with God, as well as in our spiritual growth. It isimportant for us to think correctly about what prayer is and is not, and to be fully committed to faithfully engaging with God through prayer at all times and in all circumstances.
