Fruit & Intimacy, John 15:1-8

May 27, 2018 • Peep Saar

We cannot force fruitfulness out of our own efforts. All we can do is create an healthy environment where the miracle of life and growth can happen. Living things grow, multiply & bear fruit. Bearing fruit is a requirement for disciples of Jesus. Fruit is born out of an environment of intimacy. 1. Intimacy with God (John 15:5) 2. Intimacy with the family of God (John 13:35) 3. The Easter Story in the Old Testament, Genesis 22 & 24

March 18, 2018 • Kurt Birky

God’s redemptive plan for mankind culminated with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. However, the plan itself was laid out centuries earlier. To get a new perspective of the Easter story, we will be looking at four Old Testament characters; Abraham, Isaac, Eliezer and Rebekah and how they point to an even greater story. Be Restored, 2 Kings 5:1-19

March 18, 2018 • Matt Ferrell

In this story we see an incredible picture of what it means to have a life changing encounter God. Naaman did not disengage from his current occupation, but rather he sought to live extraordinarily consistent in every part of his life. We too are called to live consistently in worship to God our Father no matter what circumstance or job occupation we find ourselves in. 1. A Forgiving Heart (vs. 1-3) 2. A Proud Heart (vs. 4-13) 3. Something Greater, 1 Kings 19:19-21 / 2 Kings 2:8-14

February 11, 2018 • Matt Ferrell

When God calls us to follow Him, he is calling us to something greater than we could ever ask or imagine. Too often, however, we are satisfied by following the call of our own selfish heart. In the call of Elisha we see how God’s call leads to something greater, even though at first it seems to be exactly the opposite. Elisha was a wealthy man, but to be faithful to God’s call he gave up his wealth. Elisha was a man of authority, but he gave up his authority to serve Elijah for 18 years. As Elisha found following the call of God was greater than he could have imagined, every one of us must be faithful to follow the specific call God has given us. 1. The journey to something greater (1 Kings 19:19-21) a. Start with an unexpected party (vs. 19-20) b. Marked by complete surrender and humble service (v. 21) c. Lived through the power of Christ (2 Kings 2:8-14) Songs How Great Thou Art #14181 by S K Hine 1941, 1953, 1955 Stuart K. Finding Confidence in God's Call, Judges 6:11-7:18

February 4, 2018 • Kirby Neely

Gideon is an unlikely Hero in God’s story- so unlikely that it takes a process for him to gain confidence in himself and God’s calling. God’s strength with Gideon is the secret sauce that leads to Gideon’s success as a leader. God is calling each of us to different things- what will be necessary for you to gain confidence that his strength in you will be enough to accomplish what he has asked you to do? 1. God corrected Gideon’s misunderstandings: (6:11-13) 2. God assured Gideon that he has what it takes. (6:14-16) 3. God helped Gideon Overcome the Fear of Others Approval (6:17-35) 4. God Used Circumstances (6:36-40) 5. God Shows Gideon the Odds Are Unimportant (7:1-8) 6.
