While I and my friends were out sharing our faith with Mormons on the street of the Spring 2024 LDS General Conference, this dear disabled man, Adam sat out on the streets with us sharing his faith on how he left Mormonism for the true gospel of grace.

Paul Gee Leaves Mormonism to Follow Jesus

Paul Gee grew up Mormon, naturally believing the claims of Joseph Smith and the LDS Church. Then one day he started reading the Bible with the “eyes of a child” and discovered major differences between the teachings of Christ in the Bible and those found in Mormonism. Further research uncovered the fact that Joseph Smith could not translate the text of the Book of Abraham that forms the basis of many unbiblical beliefs found in Mormonism. At this point, Paul had to make a decision: Would he follow Christ or would he remain comfortable following the teachings of the LDS Church that are at odds with Christ? For Paul, the choice was clear, he stopped singing “praise to the man” Joseph Smith and began singing praises only to Jesus as his only true Lord and Savior!

Kevin Cardone - Saved by Grace

As a Mormon, Kevin knew he wasn't worthy of forgiveness. He hadn't reached a point of "no return to sin" as explained by Mormon apostle Spencer W. Kimball. He knew the standard of forgiveness in Mormonism was that a transgressor's "desire to sin" was "cleared out" of his life. But what was impossible in Mormonism was completed in Christ. Once he came under Christ's shed blood, renouncing his former dead "works" in the Mormon temple, Kevin experienced the true peace of salvation in Christ. No longer did he have to perform for worthiness, for Christ's perfection has been applied to his account (Heb 10:14) forever. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph 2:8-9)
