Kevin Cardone - Saved by Grace

As a Mormon, Kevin knew he wasn't worthy of forgiveness. He hadn't reached a point of "no return to sin" as explained by Mormon apostle Spencer W. Kimball. He knew the standard of forgiveness in Mormonism was that a transgressor's "desire to sin" was "cleared out" of his life. But what was impossible in Mormonism was completed in Christ.

Once he came under Christ's shed blood, renouncing his former dead "works" in the Mormon temple, Kevin experienced the true peace of salvation in Christ. No longer did he have to perform for worthiness, for Christ's perfection has been applied to his account (Heb 10:14) forever. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph 2:8-9)
