We all have innate wants and desires, but our choices direct them for better or worse. We can choose to savor those things that we know are good for us, even if they aren't as pleasurable in the moment. In the words of scripture, we can set our affection on things above. Colossians 3:1,2 It is a discipline that will pay big dividends.
