The Old Testament Tabernacle invited the people of God back into His presence. But before they could build it, they had to take the first steps of preparation.
God has always wanted to dwell among his people. The Tabernacle is part of the story of God’s presence, but what we have now is so much better.

The Tabernacle serves as a reminder of Eden. It also serves as a foretaste of the new Eden. But when it was built, it served as a portal of the place heaven meets earth.

God wants to be with his people, and so he gives them access to his space in this mobile temple that they can carry around with them. It’s a symbol of God’s true heavenly temple, but it’s more than a mere symbol.
