Fanning the Flames of Revival | Keeping the Flames Burning
March 27, 2024 • Bob Beckwith, Aaron Vickroy • Luke 6, Exodus 24
Right now, the Wesley body is more alive and more bought into God than we may have ever been. In Bob's words, "There's a surrender and a desire to live for the Lord Jesus that may be greater than anything I've seen before." The Lord is doing a new work - in many of us individually - and in us corporately as a body of believers. You might be in a season where the Lord is moving and you're in a body of believers; surrounded by passion for the Lord Jesus. But, the days are coming when you get busy and it's harder to keep your heart focused on the Lord. How will you keep your heart burning for God? Listen to hear from Bob and Aaron about how to continue to fan the flames in your heart.
Fanning the Flames of Revival | God Does Nothing Except Through Prayer
March 20, 2024 • Bob Beckwith • Genesis 1, Luke 15, Luke 22, Luke 18
John Wesley believed that "God does nothing except through prayer." From the beginning, God made the work of establishing the Kingdom on earth a partnership. There are parts of this partnership that God leaves us to do, and one of the most important ways we partner with God is through prayer. Luke writes that Jesus, Himself "often withdrew to lonely places and prayed" (Lk15:16). In this message, Bob dives deeper into the topic of prayer, while clinging to Martin Luther's belief that, "Prayer is not overcoming God's reluctance, but laying hold of His willingness."
Fanning the Flames of Revival | Just Give Me One Hundred
March 13, 2024 • Bob Beckwith
John Wesley once said, "Give me one hundred people who fear nothing but sin, or desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergy or lay, such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on earth." In this message, Bob shares about the heart posture we are called to have as we pray for God to ignite a revival fire on our campus, in our city, and in our world. Just like Isaiah responds in Isaiah 6:8 when God asks whom He should send, we hope to cultivate a life where we would also eagerly respond to God when it comes to revival, saying "Here am I. Send me!"
