John Wesley believed that "God does nothing except through prayer." From the beginning, God made the work of establishing the Kingdom on earth a partnership. There are parts of this partnership that God leaves us to do, and one of the most important ways we partner with God is through prayer. Luke writes that Jesus, Himself "often withdrew to lonely places and prayed" (Lk15:16).
