“You can’t take it with you” is a commonly used phrase to encourage people to enjoy life, and not be concerned about what they do or don’t have—especially money—because once they're gone, they can't take it with them. Jesus appears to encourage this sentiment by telling us to “lay [our] treasures in heaven” instead of here on earth where they can be stolen or destroyed. But what if you could take it with you?
