January 13, 2024 • Pastor Jonathan Henderson

New year, new you? Much easier said than done, right? Already a week in, and your new year resolutions are already being tested. As we begin this year, a very special year I might add for our church (centennial year), we begin a new series from the life of the Prophet Elisha called "Next, New, Now.” Our goal is to inspire and equip you to not be merely a person of resolutions but a person who is resolute.

Join us tomorrow as we begin this journey with our first message of the series entitled “Next Man Up!"

Sabbath Worship Experience | "New, Next, Now: Can't Take It With You?"

March 30, 2024 • Pastor Jonathan Henderson

“You can’t take it with you” is a commonly used phrase to encourage people to enjoy life, and not be concerned about what they do or don’t have—especially money—because once they're gone, they can't take it with them. Jesus appears to encourage this sentiment by telling us to “lay [our] treasures in heaven” instead of here on earth where they can be stolen or destroyed. But what if you could take it with you? Elisha seems to have cracked the code because for his greatest miracle, he does something that no living being had ever done before—literally! In fact, he wasn’t even alive to see the miracle. Have I piqued your curiosity? Join us on this special Resurrection Sabbath as we close out the Next | New | Now series with a shockingly unbelievable story that answers our deepest life and death questions.

Sabbath Worship Experience | "Next, New, Now: Redeem Code"

March 23, 2024 • Pastor Jonathan Henderson

There might not be a word more used in Christianity, that is equally used as much in the secular world, as the word “redeem.” True, we may see or hear the word redemptive, redemption, or redeeming more often from the pulpit than it’s root word, but could the meaning be essentially the same as redeeming a gift card or code? As we draw near to the conclusion of our series “Next | New | Now,” we study the science of grace from a technical standpoint. Why does this word “redeem” play center stage of the Gospel? Join us this week as we continue to see the prophet Elisha’s narrative unfold in the most redeeming story yet!

Sabbath Worship Experience | Next, New, Now - "The Best Laid Plan"

March 16, 2024 • Pastor Jonathan Henderson

If you have the gift of seeing the future, how would you use it? Sure you could make some money on future sporting events, but let’s say altruism is your only guide. Would you knowingly walk into bad relationships? Would you allow loved ones to put themselves in harm’s way? The prophet Elisha must grapple with these questions when he’s faced with a God-sized problem that involves evil and knowing the future. What will he ultimately decide? And what does his decision ultimately tell us about how God handles these questions? Join us this week as we face one of the most difficult theological questions, that has even led many to give up on God altogether.
