Trent Heaton
Dir. of Men’s Ministry and Life Groups
Trent got his start in ministry from a young age where he was known for being used as an example of what not to do in his mom’s Sunday school class and for preaching fiery speeches as a 5-year old letting the neighborhood kids know they were going to hell.
After years of the Lord’s gracious shaping and overly kind generosity, Trent has honed his passion into leading and serving families – especially men – in discipleship. He has served in various capacities in churches both as a volunteer and as a full-time staff member.
Trent currently serves on staff at Magnify Church as the Director of Life Groups and Men’s Ministry and is passionate about helping people fall in love with Jesus. He and his beloved wife Brittany have been married for nearly 17 years and have 3 kids (9, 11, & 14). He enjoys sports, the outdoors, making bread, and chatting around campfires late into the night.
Josh Vajda
Men's Ministry Assistant
Josh comes to men's ministry by way of academic ministry. A lifelong Christian, he felt called to more while a student serving in college ministry and found in seminary that he fit in better with the theology nerds than with the would-be pastors. He loves to help men grow in spiritual maturity, and believes that yesterday's thinkers can be important resources for today's leaders. His go-to passage is Ephesians 4:11-16.
He and his wife, Jen, have been married for nearly 20 years and are raising 4 energetic kids. Together they enjoy table games, hiking, and biking. Josh also loves music, DIY projects, and making desserts. When he's not helping at church, he is busy with his newest adventure: homeschooling.
