Powerful Redeemer

God in HD: Powerful Redeemer Isaiah 42:18-43:4; Romans 6:16-18 “Jesus saves!” It is hard to find a simpler summary of the Christian faith than that. God is our deliverer! He delivers his people from slavery to freedom. Savior and Deliverer! But a concept that is even more prolific in the Scriptures is the major role of God that we will be exploring this week - Redeemer. What does it mean that God is our redeemer? You may be surprised that redemption was never a religious word in the Bible, but has become central to our understanding of all that God has done for us. This Sunday at Troy Methodist Church we will discover what redemption is, and for what purpose God has gone to all lengths to save us!
Loving Father

We’ve seen God as Creator, King, Revealer, and Priest - and now we explore God as Judge. How is God like a judge? Is that even a role we want God to be in? Are we being judged? If so, based on what? Join us this Sunday as we discover God as Righteous Judge, the one who is the maker, enforcer, and arbiter of his perfect law as well as the one who offers mercy and empowers us to live righteous lives!
Holy Priest

Sovereign King

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on an amazing week of VBS and kick off a brand new series, God in HD! What is God like? That is a question everyone asks, but where do we get our answers? Thankfully, God has revealed himself to us through the Scriptures, and ultimately through Jesus himself whom the Scriptures testify. Throughout the Bible, God has revealed himself through a variety of roles – Creator, King, Father, Redeemer and others. In isolation these roles give us a partial glimpse of what God is like, but together, they provide a high-definition view of who God is and what he’s like. Furthermore, these roles help us better understand ourselves and what it means to be in relationship with this transcendent and supernatural God who longs for us to know him.
