This Sunday, we will continue our examination of the Seven Deadly Sins by looking at the sin of greed – where it comes from, why it is so deadly, and how God’s people must pursue radical generosity instead.

Gather with our church family again this week as we look at the way the sin of greed distorts how the people of God are meant to live and thrive in the Kingdom of God. In order to live in right relationship with God, ourselves, and all of God’s creation, we must recognize our ungodly relationships with wealth, turn away from them, and work to bring our hearts and lives into alignment with God’s call for generosity.

Anger to Patience

Ephesians 4:26-32We all know that anger can be destructive and yet we all feel anger! As we continue our journey through the seven deadly sins, we confront one of the most obviously deadly sins. Join us this Sunday to learn a biblical process for dealing with the anger that arises in our hearts and by God’s grace we will each be inspired and equipped to respond to our anger like Jesus.

Transformed

Pride to Humility

Many have called pride the root of all sin. Pride is certainly condemned in the Bible, but is all pride bad? Can’t there be good pride? Join us this week at Troy Methodist Church as we tackle the seventh of the deadly sins - Pride. We will learn the difference between good pride, bad pride, and deadly pride - particularly that which Jesus condemns the most, spiritual pride. Even more importantly, we will discover a pathway from our pride to the biblical virtue of humility. Invite a friend!
