We can only consider that we have might have engaged in spiritual maturity, when we can discern that we have begun living generously. We are pipes, not bowls – God intends to pour into us so that He might pour through us into others. Perhaps in no other area of the faith are we challenged more than in this area of our generous giving. We must understand the joy which God attaches to generosity.
