Humans love to label and categorize things. It helps us to understand the world we live in. But sometimes those labels become a way to divide us from one another, even when we ought to be unified. This week, Pastor Connor walks us through how the labels “circumcised” and “uncircumcised” threatened to drive a wedge in the early church. He also discusses how the gospel of Christ should unify us, never divide us.

Christ sets us free when we’re born into His family through faith. But that’s just the beginning! We are also free to grow the fruit of the Spirit instead of being enslaved by the deeds of the flesh.

When we belong to God’s family, we are children of promise, free and righteous because of God’s grace through Christ. He delivers us from the hopeless slavery of trying to justify ourselves through works of the Law.
