Our Lesson:
Our story is about Gideon and how he had to trust God when it seemed like it was impossible and crazy too.
Activity 1: Grab some blankets and make a fort. What else can the blanket be? A cape for a superhero? Waves for the big rolled sock fish in the center. A shield to hide your snoring?? A blanket is in our story today.
Activity 2: Take a piece of paper and decorate it with stickers, markers or crayons. Roll it into a cone shape and tape it in place. Play the small end like a trumpet. A trumpet is in our story today.
Remember verse:
The Lord our God is with us; the Mighty Warrior who saves. Zephaniah 3:17a
Worship Response:
Take a big piece of paper. Pretend it is a blanket. As a family, write your prayer requests on the blanket. Take time to hear what each one says and give validation to each request.
Draw prayers to God.
Dear God. Thankful for... Please help… Bless my family… Heal….
Have all the family lay hands on the "blanket of prayer" and ask God to do his miracle. Ask God to fulfill his promises. Hang the blanket where you will pray together during this week.
Last Big Idea: Tithe together as a family. Show your kids how you give to God. Pray over your offering and push the online giving button together, or put the stamp on the envelope together. These are the principles to pass on in our foundation building with our youngest worshippers.
Our Big God Story is about Gideon
God is Trustworthy.
