The Blessing | May You See God's Great Power Everyday

May 17, 2020 • Pastor Sharon Baldwin

Meet Professor GuessAgain. She's funny and has a great illustration for today's lesson. Secret ingredients to try it at home are included below.

Today, we learn that Jesus used MUD to heal a man's eyes. The man couldn't see but Jesus used His power to help the man see.

Have you ever made a mud pie? It can be fun to play in the mud. Marcy Monsterpop discovers that MUD might be cool if Jesus uses it. Otherwise, Paula's Donuts are her favorite.

REMEMBER VERSE
Our God is great and VERY powerful.
There is no limit to what He knows. Psalm 147:5

THE BIG GOD STORY
Jesus and his disciples were walking along a road. They saw a man who was born with eyes that didn't work. Jesus stopped and put MUD on the man's eyes. What was Jesus thinking? It was real mud. And it was on the man's eyes.
Jesus told the man to go wash off the mud. The man listened. The man washed his face. And you know what? THE MAN COULD SEE!!! Jesus healed the man!!

PROFESSOR GUESSAGAIN WOULD LIKE TO SHARE HER EXPERIMENT WITH YOU.
1 CUP WATER
2 CUPS CORN STARCH
MIX TOGETHER AND POUR INTO A PAN.

WALK YOUR FINGERS ACROSS IT. POUND IT. NOTHING HAPPENS.
PLACE A QUARTER ON TOP AND WATCH IT DISAPPEAR.

A WORSHIP RESPONSE for you to do with your family.
What is something you are afraid of?
Draw it on a small piece of paper and attach it to a big paperclip.
Tell God your fear. "I am giving this to you."
Put the picture and paperclip on your cornstarch pie and watch it disappear.

GOD TAKES OUR FEARS. HE GIVES US FAITH INSTEAD.

Now hop another paper clip across the mud and say, "God, You are Powerful!"
