James Week 3

James 1:19-27

September 17, 2019 • Tracey Helms

What does pure, undefiled religion look like in the eyes of God? How should knowing Christ impact our walk? The Bible tells us that our faith should change us from the inside out. We should walk in His promises, His ways and care about those that are in distress. As we walk with the Lord, we can experience true transformation. Join us this week as we examine our next portion of James.

James Week 11

What is the difference between gaining wise counsel and gossiping or slander?  When do we cross over from questioning something into judging each other?  As believers in Jesus Christ we ought to be careful with the words we speak about others.  God is the only righteous Judge.  We also must be careful to consult Him as we make plans for our lives as we do not know what each day holds.  James challenges us to live each day deliberately, remembering that God calls us to specific things each day.  Grab your Bible and join us as we finish chapter 4. Scriptures used: James 4:11-17 1 Peter 2:12 Galatians 5:15 Ephesians 4:29 Luke 12:16-21
