MEETING WITH GOD Series

Meeting With God

September 10, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • Exodus 34:6–9, Psalm 95:1, Psalm 89:26, Exodus 33:12–21, John 17:20–23

God came up with a plan to come down to Moses, because there was no plan to go up to Him. Jesus came so we can be immersed in the rock, so that the glory of God not only be with us, but also NOW be IN us. The same glory that could kill Moses - NOW can live in YOU. 22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.” Exodus 33:22-23 NKJV

Meeting With God

August 6, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • Exodus 33:12–21, Matthew 7:24–25, 2 Corinthians 3:7–11, Luke 18:35–43, Genesis 18:2–3

Are we satisfied with a "passing by" relationship with God? Or are we constraining Him to Abide? God's not satisfied with a passing by relationship with you. He wants to remain with you. God doesn't mind when we stop Him, grab hold of Him, reach out and say, "Do not pass me by." 22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Exodus 33:22 NKJV 2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, 3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. Genesis 18:2-3 NKJV 28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. Luke 24:28-29 NKJV

Meeting With God

July 23, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • Exodus 33:19, Psalm 124:8, Psalm 20:7, Exodus 34:6–9, Exodus 33:12–16

Moses asked God to show him His Glory, His overabundance of who He is, and God responded. I WILL . . . . . . make all my goodness pass before you. GOD IS THE BEST! He will make His best pass before you. . . . proclaim the name of the Lord before you. RUN INTO the name of the LORD! . . . be gracious to whom I will be gracious. God has a place reserved for you at His right hand. STAND on the ROCK! Make your prayer today - God show me your glory, where I've limited you in my life. 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Exodus 33:19 NKJV

Meeting With God

July 16, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • Psalm 128:1, Proverbs 10:29, 1 John 2:3–6, 2 Corinthians 6:17–18, Exodus 33:7–13

There are only TWO WAYS! God's Way and NOT God's Way. God's Way leads to strength. God's Presence gives us rest. Not God's Way leads to destruction.  There is NO 3rd Way. Don't be fooled, thinking there is a third way. Moses asked God to show him His Way so that he would know God. Because being in His Presence was his greatest desire and primary goal.  How do we know, if we know God? If we know God's Way, and keep His commandments.  We are telling ourselves a lie, if we believe we can know God outside of keeping His Way.  Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” Exodus 33:13 NKJV Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. I John 2:3-4 NKJV

Meeting With God

June 18, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • John 14:6, Exodus 33:13, Psalm 25:4–5, Exodus 33:1–12, Matthew 7:21–23

‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ What if being known by God was all that mattered? In the end, it's all that will matter. God loves everyone the same. God does not have the same relationship with everyone. Not everyone who says, "Lord, Lord!" has made God Lord, and are living and walking in His Way. Jesus is the Way. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. When I'm not walking His Way, I'm walking in darkness, and will experience unnecessary pain. Does God know you? Are you on the way of the wicked or the way of the righteous? God's Ways are the Way of Life.

Meeting With God

May 28, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • Exodus 33:12, Deuteronomy 30:11–14, John 21:17–22, Isaiah 45:3–4, Matthew 7:21–23

Has God ever told you something, and yet there were still things He didn't let you know? Many times, our faith in God can be measured by how much detail we require BEFORE we do what He tells us. Is what God said to you enough? Or are the details you don't know too much for you to obey? Do you require confirmation from people to validate what you've heard from the creator of the universe? Which moves you the most? WHAT GOD SAYS VS WHAT HE LETS US KNOW

MEETING WITH GOD

May 21, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • Exodus 20:18–21, Exodus 33:7–11, 2 Corinthians 5:1, Revelation 3:20, John 4:23–24

WHY are we coming to the tabernacle? Are we coming to seek the Lord, or are we coming to check a box? There is a difference. When we are coming to church to check a box, the focus is on 3 things: PEOPLE. PERFORMANCE. PREFERENCES. When we come seeking the Lord, the focus is on 1 thing: PRESENCE OF GOD. EVERYONE who SOUGHT the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting!

MEETING WITH GOD

April 30, 2023 • Chad Everett • 2 Corinthians 5:1, Matthew 14:23, 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, Ephesians 2:19–22, Exodus 33:7–11

God determines the purpose of our gathering. What if He asks us to . . . shout and dance and sound the trumpets? What if God shows up and it’s unfamiliar – but is still God? Will we choose the unfamiliar, even if it costs us some familiar? Or will we reject the unfamiliar and go back to the familiar?

Meeting With God

April 23, 2023 • Chad Everett - Lead Pastor • Exodus 33:7–11, Matthew 14:23, Matthew 6:6, Ephesians 2:19–22, Deuteronomy 4:29

We've created tabernacles of meetings called churches - the original purpose of the Tabernacle of Meeting was to be a dwelling place, a habitation at a particular time for a purpose designated by an authority. A place for people to encounter God, but became a place for people to meet people and merely talk about God. Who's the authority that designates the purpose for why we gather? NOT US! We gather to meet with God, and HE designates the purpose of why we gather.
