Easter 2023

April 9, 2023 • Austin Johnson • John 20:1–23, John 19:28–30, John 19:38–42

We can look at something from the past, a piece of art, a past relationship, a former job, and so on with admiration and appreciation, but the Story of God, the Story of the Bible is not past tense. It’s not simply something that happened back then and we are admiring and appreciating what happened then. The resurrection points us to the reality that the Story continues on with us, but it’s contingent on this good news of Christ’s resurrection.
