Sharing the Gospel

Part >> 1

God always has a purpose for everything He does. That includes His Church. Was the purpose of the Church to just be a place where people could get together to pray and fellowship? Or is there a greater purpose—a greater mission—God had in mind for His Church? The Bible indicates that the mission of God’s Church is to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ with every nation, tribe and tongue (Revelation 7:9). In the gospels, Jesus explained that there would be signs of the last days (false prophets, natural disasters, international turmoil, etc.). However, Jesus also said the end would not come until the gospel of the kingdom was proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to the nations. The mission of God’s Church is to take the gospel to people who have little or no access to it so they might be able to respond to the message of grace and salvation.
