Sabbath as Resistance

Episode 11

March 28, 2019

Jesus spent a good deal of his time arguing back and forth with the Pharisees, who believed deeply they were leading God’s people well. His ministry to the Pharisees was often to say, you have distorted the heart of the scriptures and misunderstood the heart of God. Today we dive into the idea of Sabbath and how it relates our Lenten journey and frames up faithful presence for a Christ Follower. Jesus did not abolish the Sabbath, he reframed it and it’s still critical today.
