Communion is a ritual we partake of at least once during each sermon series at The Harbor. Jesus instituted communion at The Last Supper, and told us to "Do this in remembrance of me." We know it has great meaning, but let's go deeper into what it's really all about and see how God orchestrated even the tiniest details to point to the Messiah as far back as the beginning.
We were created to worship God, and not just on Sundays or in those thankful moments when we recognize His hand on our lives. We were created to worship as a lifestyle, every day and in many ways. This does not necessarily mean we walk around singing worship songs all day. Worship means much more than that. Humility. It is impossible to describe the person of Jesus without using that word. And if the church is meant to be a reflection of Christ, then humility is something we ought to take really seriously and challenge ourselves on as a community.
