The Psalmist said, "Zeal for your house has eaten me up." And while those words, in Psalm 69:9, are no doubt applied to Jesus as he cleansed the Temple, it would also apply, in practicality, to one great man in the Old Testament who was fed up with sin and took righteous action. His name is Phinehas, the grandson of Aaron and high priest will ultimately be high priest to God. What does the Bible say about the righteousness of Phinehas?

The word of God says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away. Behold, all has become new," 2 Corinthians 5:17. We welcome you today to our study of the benefits of being in Christ. Today, we're going to talk about why a person wants to make sure that he's in Christ and that he's a child of God. We hope that this encouragement will motivate all of us to make sure we're right on the side of God. In Ephesians 1:3, the Bible says that "Every spiritual blessing is ours in Christ Jesus." What a joy and a privilege it is for the child of God to be in Christ. We're going to think about- what are the benefits, why is it such a wonderful thing to make sure that a person is actually in Christ, and what does it mean to really be in Christ?
