What is it that separates Christians from those who just claim the name of Christ? Friend, it's the way they live that makes us special. It's the way Christians live that makes us unique, and today we're going to talk about daily Christian living. What makes Christians unique? What makes their lives stand out? What makes it something that ought to be attractive to the world and God-glorifying?

The Benefits of Being in Christ

The word of God says, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away. Behold, all has become new," 2 Corinthians 5:17. We welcome you today to our study of the benefits of being in Christ. Today, we're going to talk about why a person wants to make sure that he's in Christ and that he's a child of God. We hope that this encouragement will motivate all of us to make sure we're right on the side of God. In Ephesians 1:3, the Bible says that "Every spiritual blessing is ours in Christ Jesus." What a joy and a privilege it is for the child of God to be in Christ. We're going to think about- what are the benefits, why is it such a wonderful thing to make sure that a person is actually in Christ, and what does it mean to really be in Christ? The psalmist said, "My sins have gone over my head; like a heavy burden they're too heavy for me to bear" Psalm 38:4. Welcome to our study of man's sin and God’s forgiveness. This is a topic that is especially relevant for every person who's of an accountable age and wants to please God. From the Garden of Eden to the present time, man has had to deal with the sin problem. Thankfully God has made a way of salvation. It's sin that from that time in the garden that has plagued man as a result of his choices. What does the Bible teach about the sinfulness of man and God's forgiveness?
