Maundy Thursday represents the meal Christ had with his disciples prior to his arrest and execution. During this meal, a lot goes down. Jesus commands his disciples to love one another. This is the meal where Christs presents the bread and cup, and instructs us all to drink and eat. This is the meal that lays the groundwork for the days to come, it’s inviting everyone to the table to instruct them about what’s happening, it’s preparation for the burial, it is getting ready for the inevitable. It’s unease, confusion, excitement, all mixed up in the Last Supper Christ shared with his followers.
Join us this Maundy Thursday as we engage all 5 senses as we walk through what the apostles and Christ may have been feeling in the days leading to Christ’s crucifixion. Our Clayton site will hold 6 experiential, immersive experiences that will feature art from members of our own congregation! Come and see.
