"Good news for St. Louis: Bridge of Hope Ministries—now becoming Three Steps Home—is opening a new program to care for people with complex medical needs who have nowhere safe to heal after leaving local hospitals.
For 25 years, Bridge of Hope has served individuals and families experiencing homelessness in some of the most marginalized neighborhoods of North St. Louis City. Rooted in an ecumenical Christian tradition, the ministry seeks to demonstrate God’s love through compassion, service, and steadfast presence. Now, Bridge of Hope is expanding its mission to address a critical gap in care by opening a 24/7 medical respite program for people who are too medically fragile to recover on the streets or in shelters. Three Steps Home will provide medically complex care, supportive services, and coordinated support to help housing-unstable individuals recover safely and move toward stable housing. The program will offer 31 beds and serve approximately 375 individuals each year." - Three Steps Home (formerly Bridge of Hope)
In order to do this, the floor that will be used, needs to be prepped for residents!
As we prepare our space for the Grand Opening on April 3rd, we invite volunteers to help us by assisting with room renovations and donating linens such as towels, pillows, twin-size sheets and blankets. Your time and generosity are tangible ways to put faith into action and help create a place of rest, dignity, and hope for our neighbors in greatest need."
