Does God Get Angry? Holy, Just, Love

August 23, 2020 • Dave DiDonato

Does God get angry? “A study of the concordance will show there are more references in scripture to the anger, fury and wrath of God, than there are to his love and tenderness” – A.W. Pink, The Attributes of God God’s Wrath WHY - God is holy, therefore he is pure and separate from all evil and sin HOW - God is just, therefore he judges all impartially according to His righteous standard WHO - God is love, therefore he placed our deserved punishment for sin on his Son, Jesus Christ Unbeliever - May an understanding of God’s wrath cause you to trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior Believer - May an understanding of God’s wrath cause you to revere him and follow hard after Jesus BIBLE 2020 We want to invite you to join the Bible2020 challenge and read the entire Bible in 2020. Does God Need Me? Self-Existent and Self-Sufficient

August 9, 2020 • Ron Moore

Through this series, we want to: Know God more intimately Live for God more intentionally Share the love of God more boldly  We have learned: God is beyond human understanding. God makes himself known to us. One God exists in three Persons.  God is independent.  God is Self-Existent.  He has been, is, and will always be.  He is unchanging.  God is Self-Sufficient.  He is not limited or lacking in any way.  He loves me unconditionally. I bring nothing, yet his love is without condition.  His gift for me is free. There is nothing we can do to work our way to God.  His desire for me is pure. He is not served by human hands.  He prepares me for eternity by letting me work with him in time. He calls us ambassadors. Three Gods or One? The Trinity

August 2, 2020 • Ron Moore

Through this series, we want to: Know God more intimately Live for God more intentionally Share the love of God more boldly Last week we learned: God is beyond human understanding. God makes himself known to us. Trinity: One God existing in three Persons The Trinity remains a mystery. There is one God existing in three Persons with the same attributes working distinctly yet in perfect harmony. In order for us to grasp the distinct work of each Person we can think in these terms:  God the Father loves you. Due to our sin, God initiated the plan to rescue us for eternity. God the Son rescued you. Jesus carried out the plan by coming to earth to die for us on the cross.  God the Spirit befriends you. The Holy Spirit implements the plan by giving us spiritual life and introducing us to Jesus. He then takes up residence in us to teach, guide, convict, and encourage us.  BIBLE 2020 We want to invite you to join the Bible2020 challenge and read the entire Bible in 2020. Can I Understand God? Incomprehensible

July 26, 2020 • Dave DiDonato

God clearly reveals himself through his WORD. OUR RESPONSE: Commit to reading God’s Word daily and connecting to Biblical community. God clearly reveals himself through His SON - JESUS CHRIST. OUR RESPONSE: Trust in Jesus, follow Jesus, and share Jesus. BIBLE 2020 We want to invite you to join the Bible2020 challenge and read the entire Bible in 2020. What Comes to Your Mind When You Think About God?

July 19, 2020 • Ron Moore

We learn how confusing it is to make sense of life apart from God in Acts 17. Because of this confusion, understanding God is always our starting point. 1. God is the Creator. 2. God is omnipresent. 3. God is self-sufficient and independent. 4. God is the provider of all mankind. 5. God is sovereign over all. 6. God is personal. 7. God is gracious. 8. God is just.
