May 2, 2021 • Ron Moore

THE GOSPEL SUMMARY (1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-9)
1. Jesus died for our sins (according to the Scriptures)
2. Jesus was buried as proof of his death.
3. Jesus was raised on the third day (according to the Scriptures)
4. Jesus appeared to many people over a period of time as proof of his resurrection.

SUPPORT FOR THE RESURRECTION
1. Adam became a living being.
The Author and Perfecter became a life-giving spirit.
(1 Cor. 15:45)

2. The natural body is followed by the spiritual body.
(1 Cor. 15:46)

3. Adam was from the dust of the earth.
The Author and Perfecter came from heaven.
(1 Cor. 15:47)

4. Those from the earth are like Adam.
Those who know the Author and Perfecter inherit his spiritual nature.
(1 Cor. 15:48).

5. We now bear the image of “the man of dust.”
One day we “shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.”
(1 Cor. 15:49).

PRACTICAL APPLICATION FROM PAUL
Based on the fact that we will spend eternity in heaven in resurrected bodies:

• Be steadfast—stand firm—in the truth of God’s Word.

• Be encouraged. Even in the challenging times.

• Be immovable—don’t give in to temptation.

• Keep your focus on the Author and Perfecter.

Hebrews 10:1-18: The understanding of our freedom in Christ. Hebrews 10:19-25: The practice of our freedom in Christ. OT sacrifices produced an imperfect cleansing that provided temporary freedom. v.1-4 Jesus’ supreme sacrifice produced a perfect cleansing that provides everlasting freedom. v.5-18 MORE THAN WORDS - PRAYING THROUGH THE BIBLE More Than Words: Praying Through The Bible - formerly called Bible 2020 - is an interactive group that follows along with daily devotionals from Ron Moore focused on the prayers of the Bible. Love Jesus. Live for eternity. SEVEN EXCELLENCES OF JESUS 1. Jesus is the heir of all things. 2. Jesus is the Creator. 3. Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God 4. Jesus is the exact imprint of God’s nature. 5. Jesus upholds the universe by the word of his power. 6. Jesus is the perfect and complete sacrifice for sin. 7. Jesus is seated in power and authority. The best thing to do as a father is to love Jesus and live for eternity.
