4 :: What Did Jesus Say?

Now that you know about Jesus, what did He tell us to do?

4 :: What did Jesus Say?

What did Jesus say?

What did He want us to do with our lives?

What did Jesus tell us to do very early in His ministry?

He told us to seek Him first in Matthew 6.

Matthew 6 -
Seek Him first.
Trust in Him.
Love your neighbor.
Love Him.

We’re made by love, and we’re made to love.

Memorize it :: Matthew 6:33
Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.

He called us to follow Him.

He teaches us that He is The Only Way.

He tells us to let Him lead our lives.

His incredible sacrifice taught what it looks like to serve. He set things right. Jesus Christ also shows us how to fight for what’s right. He taught us how to walk daily, and He taught us how to die.

He modeled the life of service. He was Love. He calls us to walk like He walked and to do what He did. He said ... in a million ways ... to love.

In Jesus, you have the cure for sin.

You have the answer to hate.

When hope leaves, Jesus is there.

He’s urging us to be what He was to the people we see every single day.

We are called to love. To Be.Love.

Colossians 1:27 tells us that Jesus is the hope of glory.

We also learn that He’s in us, we’re a saint, and we’re not a sinner.

We are clean if we are in Jesus.

We are love if we are in Jesus. Think about it ... LOVE is in us. We are filled with love.

The only way we will ever be truly complete is to yield to who we really are.

You aren’t rude if you are in Jesus.
You aren’t mean if you are in Jesus.
You are living outside of who you are if you hate the people around you.
You aren’t being yourself if you lie.
You are being untrue to who you are if you are greedy and selfish.

Jesus is never rude, never mean, has no hate, always tells the truth, gave away his life, and models the ultimate sacrificial life.

Now it’s our turn to help people know Him. He tells us in Matthew 28 to go and tell the world about who He is.

Christianity is about Jesus Christ. It’s not about us or our selfish desires. It’s all about Him.

Jesus modeled the life He wants us to live during His last three years before He was crucified, buried, came back from the dead, and ascended into heaven.

Jesus loved.

We should love.

Seeking first the Kingdom is seeking love.

Do you want to know what you’re supposed to do for the rest of your life? You are supposed to love. You are supposed to get as close to Jesus as you can, and you’re called to share His love with anyone and everyone who crosses the path of your life.

Be.Love.

Jesus tells us to seek Him first. He instructs us to not do anything before or in front of seeking Him. Let this truth in week 4 sink in deep and transform your way of life into a Jesus obeying life.

Take time today and the next week to let Matthew 6:33 be the Word that guides your steps, your actions, your eyes and your every thought. Focus on Jesus. Set your mind on these words .......... Seek first the Kingdom of God. This is what Jesus said.

Seek :: Look for. Search out. Strain your eyes to see.

First :: before you do anything else with your life.

The Kingdom of God :: God. Everything He is and everything He does. What He made. Where He is. How He is. The way he constructed the Kingdom. His nature.

Seek God first.

Seek the things of God before everything.

Strain to find what God wants and then do it.
