Saturday Morning
August 12, 2023
The final session of the General Assembly opens with concert prayer by Austin Garcia and scripture reading led by Michael Steptoe. Danielle Fearer leads the congregation in worship.
The Children’s Assembly Program is directed by Debra Wantulok along with her family and Jessica Cloyed.
After the Assembly committees give their reports, the session concludes with the annual appointments by the General Overseer.
Friday Evening

The Friday Evening session of the Assembly is opened by the Moderator, and Eric Hendrix leads congregational prayer. Following a scripture reading by Ricky Aldridge from Georgia, the congregation is led in worship by One Step Closer.
Joshua Farthing leads the Victory Leaders Band program. The youth conduct their annual march, and worships the Lord through song.
Friday Afternoon

The Friday afternoon service opens in prayer led by Gary and Denise Satanek and Scripture reading from Zechariah by Chanadler Fox. Cassandra Byers leads the congregation in worship.
The session is highlighted by the Evangelism program led by Jerry Campbell and a special song by Alma Machado.

James Hughes opens the Friday morning session with concert prayer, and Hannah Solis of New York reads Psalms 48:8-14. Congregational worship is led by Diana Barba.
George Forbes preaches a message from Proverbs 22:28 “The Church Property Line, Remove not the Ancient Landmarks.”
Following a special song by Yadira Pimentel, General Overseer Oscar Pimentel delivers his annual address to the Church, and the congregation sings "At the Battle's Front.”
Thursday Evening

The session opens with concert prayer, and Francisco Ramirez of Idaho reads from Isaiah 60:1-10. The congregation worships through song led by Betsy Cox.
World Mission Coordinator Robert J. Hawkins, Jr. opens the evening's World Mission program with the Parade of Nations.
Thursday Afternoon

The session opens with concert prayer by Sam Kaufman of Alabama. Randy Farthing reads from Jeremiah 30:18-22. The congregation worships God through song led by Gabie Booth of Colorado.
The session concludes with a message by E. Roger Ammons “Safety in the Multitude of Counselors.”
Thursday Morning

Thursday morning begins with with concert prayer by Caleb Cox and scripture reading from Isaiah 54:7-10 by Rebekah Horne. Congregation singing is led by Glenna Brady of Tennessee.
The message “Contending for the Faith” is given by Robert F. Strong, Sr., and Jason Hill gives the report of the General Treasurer to the Assembly
The annual ordination service of newly licensed deacons and bishops precedes a special song by Amy Anders.
Deborah Perkins leads the Assembly Band Movement program.
Wednesday Evening

The Wednesday night service opens in prayer led by Jeff Wilcox with scripture reading from Psalms and Mark. Vicki Smith leads the congregation in worship.
The pinnacle of the evening is the Church of Prophecy Marker Association program directed by James R. Horne.

Wednesday afternoon begins with concert prayer by Tammy Washburn and scripture reading from Micah 4:1-2 by Jim Cox.
Following congregational singing by Angela Clarke, another set of progress reports is given, and Carlos Hernandez Jr. of Idaho shares a special song.
Sharon Griffin, Womens Missionary Band Coordinator, leads the WMB Program to conclude the service.

Tuesday Evening

Amy Montgomery leads the Assembly in worship after concert prayer by Arturo Barba and scripture reading from Psalms 132:1-18 by Mark Lamm.
Colin Shuler shares news on The Evening Light and an update from the Communications and Publishing Departments is provided by Grayson Kent.
After a song by Joyce McGriff of Tennessee the session concludes with the Bible Training Institute program conducted by Paul Horton.
Tuesday Afternoon

Keven Lewis opens the Tuesday afternoon session with a reading from 2 Chronicles 6:1-9. Jesus Sosa leads the congregation in prayer followed by worship led by Tara Harrington.
After an assembly expense offering and a set of progress reports, Tiera Copes shares a special song, and James Frizzell of Tennessee preaches “Enabled Through the Old Paths to Fulfill the Great Commission.”
Tuesday Morning

The first full day of the Assembly begins with scripture reading from Hebrews 12:18-24 by Noah Reszel and concert prayer led by David Alcott of Florida. After congregational worship, led by Charity Cox, the session continues with the Sunday School program led by Shanna Campos.
The session concludes with progress reports and a special song prior to a message by Romme Pate entitled “What is the Church?”.
Monday Evening

The opening session of the 117th General Assembly begins with remarks by the moderator, General Overseer Oscar Pimentel.
The Bible and flag pledges are recited by the delegates, and Janet Talley leads congregational worship. Caleb Hernandez preaches message on healing.

Final session starts with concert prayer, worship and scripture reading. Reports from the World Missions Committee, Counseling, Watchman and Assembly offerings. Closing announcements by moderator and General Appoints by General Overseer. Prayer for appointees by David Risch of TN and official closing of Assembly.
